Since migrating west to San Francisco in 1984 to join the firm of Chester Bowles, Jr. & Associates, Jean has focused her career on public educational and recreational facility planning and design.
Working with dozens of school districts and public agencies, she has an ability to listen critically, to uncover the client’s needs, and shape the community planning process. Jean is a creative thinker with a knack for always seeing more solutions than problems. As managing partner, she enjoys all phases of the building process from facility programming through permit closeout, from project management to detailing. Her depth of experience brings a full understanding of DSA and local approvals processes, and a skill for creating delightful, functional, and durable space.
